Shipping Policy (Last updated 2/28/2023)
Appletree Vitamins processes orders within 48 hours of receipt of your completed order for in-stock items. Standard delivery time is 3-5 business days for most continental US destination. Please note: In some instances, your order may ship in multiple shipments (due to product and warehouse availability) and could use different carriers for each shipment.
If an order is placed on Friday, a weekend or a holiday, in-stock products will generally be shipped on the following business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
Backordered items will be processed as quickly as possible. No additional shipping charges will be incurred if your original order was over $59 and eligible for free shipping.
On rare occasions we may run out of stock on an item. This may cause a slight delay in the shipment of your order. We may choose to have the Brand/Vendor drop-ship your order directly to expedite your order in a timely fashion. Our Brand/Vendors have sole discretion as to the shipping carrier they choose. We will alert you as to their tracking information as soon as we receive confirmation of shipment.
On the occasion that we are out of stock and the Brand/Vendor is out of stock, we will notify you to determine if you desire us to hold your order until the Brand/Vendor releases product for shipping. We will determine an ETA as provided by the Brand/Vendor. Should there be no ETA or reasonable shipping time, we will cancel/void those items from your order and notify you immediately. This will not affect any other items on your order.
Interruption of Shipping Service
Appletree Vitamins shall not be liable for any interruption of delivery service or loss of package by carrier service, due to a cause beyond its control, including but not limited to, the absence of a person or the refusal of such person of accepting the delivery of the shipment, demure due to the consignee, force majeure, action of the public authorities con real or apparent authority over the facilities, action or omissions of the public customs authorities or the like, riots, strikes, or other labor disputes, public disturbances, factors that disrupts the air and ground transportation systems such as weather conditions and natural disasters, and an act of God.
Domestic Shipping Only (includes United States and U.S. Territories**).
Domestic Standard Shipping (USPS Priority Mail/USPS First Class/UPS Ground) within the continental 48 states: If the order is over $59, standard shipping is FREE.
Domestic Shipping (Standard Shipping USPS Priority Mail/USPS First Class) to Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. Territories: If the order is over $59 but less than $99.00, standard shipping is $9.95.
For orders less than $60, choose from the following:
- 48 Contiguous States: Standard Shipping (USPS Priority Mail/USPS First Class/UPS Ground) Delivers in 3-5 business days dependent upon the State and USPS/UPS ground shipping criteria. Shipping Fee: $11.50
- Domestic shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories: Standard Shipping (USPS Priority Mail/USPS First Class) $15.95
**US Territories include Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Palau, and the Northern Mariana Islands
To accelerate the delivery on orders containing out-of-stock items, we may need to divide your order into two or more separate shipments - at no additional charge. When available, the back-ordered item(s) will ship, FREE of charge. Backordered items are usually shipped within 3-7 business days.
Additional Shipping Details
Orders to PO Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO are sent via USPS only.
We do not ship to International Destinations.
International Shipping: Due to the ever-changing product import/export restrictions, taxes, fees, and Customs requirements, Appletree Vitamins has chosen not to ship to any destinations outside the United States and the U.S. territories.
Heat Sensitive Shipping Policy
Products Requiring Refrigeration or Special Shipping Requirements (due to Manufacturer’s request to retain product integrity)
Shipping can be an obstacle when trying to keep temperature sensitive items cool. Although products of this nature are usually designed to withstand short transit in warmer temperatures, extended exposure can lead to reduced product quality. We want to offer you the ability to help ensure the best experience possible.
- Probiotics or Soft Gel Products requiring refrigeration will only ship by standard shipping on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. The gel pack may thaw during shipping; however, this will not affect the integrity of the probiotic or the Soft Gel product. See additional information regarding Probiotics and Product care. Any probiotic or soft gel products (requiring cold ship per manufacturer) orders placed after 2PM on Wednesday through Sunday will ship on the first viable business day. (Per manufacturer request, some heat sensitive products may not be available for shipping during the summer months to Alaska, Hawaii, or the US Territories)
- Please Note: Cold-Ship Items ship directly to street addresses and NOT PO Boxes.
Split Shipments: Orders that include both refrigerated and non-refrigerated products are usually shipped in two separate shipments to ensure that your non-refrigerated products will ship as soon as possible, and your cold-ship products will be shipped to you in the manner that best preserves their quality and integrity.
Probiotics Requiring Refrigeration and Cold Shipping Product Care:
VERY IMPORTANT Refrigerate upon receipt. We ship probiotics with cold packs. Refrigeration Helps Maintain Potency and Quality of Probiotic Products
Although we ship probiotics with cold packs, there is no cause for concern or worry if the cold pack has melted by the time of delivery. When you receive the probiotics, they should be stored in the refrigerator. It is recommended that probiotics be refrigerated to maximally preserve their viability over time. Although most probiotics should be refrigerated, they do not spoil or die-off quickly at room temperature. They may be left at room temperature for days without a great loss of viable organisms.
Due to many of our Manufacturer’s requirements, we must consider the highest of standards in shipping “refrigerated” probiotics to preserve the viability of the probiotics. Please remember to consider the time in transit and possible path your package may take. You don't want your package sitting in a hot warehouse over the weekend or on your hot porch waiting for you to come home. Please consider having someone available to accept your package when it arrives. We cannot be responsible for a product left on a hot porch.
NO returns or refunds will be issued after the product has shipped unless the product is damaged or defective.
*Returned or Refused Packages Disclaimer:
A. Address or Other Customer Error: If a package is returned to Appletree Vitamins due to address error (or any other error) made by the customer, the customer will be responsible for any shipping fees incurred. A refund will be issued for merchandise only, minus a 20% restocking fee.
B. Customer refusal: If a customer refuses a package for any reason, Appletree Vitamins will issue a refund for merchandise only, minus a 20% restocking fee, upon receipt of the returned package. The customer will be responsible for any shipping fees incurred.
C. For any carrier-returned package: For any order that is returned to Appletree Vitamins, if return shipping cost is greater than the cost of goods ordered, Appletree Vitamins will instruct the carrier to abandon the package. In such a case, the customer will not receive a refund for the order but will also not be liable for the return shipping cost.
D. Destroyed or unreturned package: If a package has been destroyed by the carrier or has otherwise not been returned to Appletree Vitamins we cannot issue a refund for the order.
E. Cold-ship products: NO returns or refunds will be issued after the product has shipped unless the product is damaged in transit.
